Adam 12

11am - 4pm

The Dropkick Murphys St. Patrick’s Day shows have been slated for 2023, and we have all the details for you here.

There will be four shows for the band’s 2023 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. And with St. Paddy’s Day falling on a Friday next year, it’s bound to be a weekend to remember. Or a weekend to forget, depending on how much Irish beer and Irish whiskey you drink.

The announcement comes just days after September 17, or what many refer to as “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day.” So the timing is fitting. The announcement also comes on the heels of Dropkick Murphys frontman Ken Casey going on an expletive-laden rant against MAGA and MAGA culture. The band spent the summer on the state fair circuit, and Casey took offense at the many instances of fairgrounds hawkers selling MAGA hats and gear. No matter your political leanings, the rant is classic Kenny Casey. Top-notch entertainment.

You might recall, too, that the Dropkicks have a new album and acoustic tour on the horizon. This Machine Still Kills Fascists is due out on September 30. It will be the first Murphys acoustic release, and the band will tour this fall to support it. Problem is, there are no Boston shows on that tour. The closest they’ll come is the tour kickoff in Concord, NH on October 20 and in Providence on October 21. You’ll have to wait until the spring for those Boston shows.
