Stream a Gig to Benefit Employees of Boston Music Venues
News earlier this month of the closure of beloved Boston rock club Great Scott has acted as a call-to-action for the local music scene.
Boston-based music blog Allston Pudding has organized an e-gig to benefit the Great Scott/O’Brien’s Pub Employee Relief Fund. The Pudding writes: “We’re worried about our other independent venues in the neighborhood and want to show our support for the staff at Great Scott who no longer have a job to return to. We want to show our support for O’Brien’s and their staff as well. That’s why today we are announcing a few things we are working on with some friends to help.”
The first of those things is a livestreamed gig on Wednesday, May 13 at 8 p.m., featuring local acts like Horse Jumper of Love and Squirrel Flower. Click here for the full lineup, how to stream the performances, and how to donate. Let’s do what we can to help support Boston’s vibrant rock scene as we all weather the Coronavirus storm.
