Remember those impromptu ice cream trips with grandma? Now, you can relive those precious moments with the Grandma McFlurry. This limited-edition dessert features creamy vanilla soft serve blended with delicious syrup and crunchy candy pieces. It’s a flavor mix that’s bound to remind you of the sweet treats grandma always had stashed in her purse. (We’re talking Werther’s Originals quality here.)
The Grandma McFlurry Experience
Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, shared his excitement about the new dessert. “Grandmas have always held a special place in our hearts. Today, they’re influencing culture, from fashion to food. The Grandma McFlurry tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re thrilled to give our fans this experience while honoring the grandma-figures in our lives.
What better way to celebrate grandma than with music? McDonald’s is teaming up with two amazing artists to bring fresh takes on classic hits. Remi Wolf will cover the timeless “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” and Latin sensation Jay Wheeler will deliver a new rendition of “Piel Canela.” Both tracks will be available on all music platforms starting May 21, just in time to enjoy them with your Grandma McFlurry.
Wait, there’s more: Introducing Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile:
Get ready, New York City! McDonald’s is rolling out Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile, their unique twist on the classic ice cream truck. This mobile treat station will offer free first tastes of the Grandma McFlurry before it hits the restaurants. (Bummer. It’s only in NYC.)

This initiative isn’t just about ice cream; it’s about connecting generations. McDonald’s recognizes that many seniors experience loneliness, and this event is a beautiful way to bridge that gap. Visiting senior centers and assisted living homes, Grandma’s McFlurry Mobile aims to bring joy and connection to grandparents and their families.
McDonald’s is also donating to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly, a national organization dedicated to supporting older adults who feel isolated and lonely.
Whether you call her Grams, Abuela, Oma, Lola, Halmoni, or Yiayia, this is the perfect time to make new memories with McDonald’s Grandma McFlurry.
So, grab your grandma and head to McDonald’s for a taste of the past and a celebration of all the love she’s given. The Grandma McFlurry is here to make your summer even sweeter. Don’t miss out – it’s only available while supplies last.
