KAMIKATSU, JAPAN - JULY 02: Crushed beer cans are pictured at Kamikatsu waste recycling facility on July 2, 2020 in Kamikatsu, Japan. Kamikatsu is a zero waste town meaning that all household waste is separated into 45 different categories at the local waste facility where it is sent to be recycled. The town currently recycles around 80 per cent of its waste but is aiming to become fully zero waste in the next couple of years. (Photo by Carl Court/Getty Images)

Hello, my name is Adam 12. I just got back from a week-long beach vacation where mass quantities of beer was consumed. I wish I’d known this.

If you’re a huge music nerd like me, you might remember a Britpop act called Happy Mondays. The band had a member named Bez, who danced around, played the maracas, and was their de facto mascot. Well, I stumbled across this old clip of Bez using science to crush a batch of empty beer cans.

For a guy who makes a living dancing around on stage, he sure knows a fair bit about science! Cheers!
