Free Food Friday
Everybody’s gotta eat. And if the last year-plus has shown us anything, it’s that lots of people aren’t getting enough to eat. Especially kids. Even with Federal programs in place, getting food to our neighbors who need it continues to be a struggle: the Boston Globe reports hungry households in MA have doubled during the pandemic.
So that’s why I’ve started Free Food Friday.
Every month, I’m donating to a different local food bank, and I’m hoping you’ll do the same. Click the link below to make this week’s donation, and drop me a line if you’d like to nominate your town’s food bank to be featured in the future.
Let’s work together to feed kids and families in need.
Back in October, the Boston Globe reported that the Weymouth Food Pantry is expanding their warehouse space and starting a South Shore Food Bank. The Food Bank will serve the hungry in the communities of Abington, Braintree, Bridgewater, Cohasset, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Hingham, Holbrook, Hull, Kingston, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Rockland, Scituate, Weymouth, and Whitman. That’s a lot of impact! Make your donation here.
