Thankfully, none of the librarians at the L.A. Public Library shushed The Linda Lindas when the young punk quartet started ripping earlier this month.

The half Asian, half Latina band kicked off the Library's AAPI Heritage Month festivities on May 4th with a live set among the stacks. Since then, the performance of their original song "Racist, Sexist Boy"--written in response to drummer Mila's experience with a boy in her class--has gone viral, and for good reason. It's riot grrrl punk at it's finest, with snarling vocals you just want to shout along with.

Check out The Linda Lindas on Bandcamp and show them some love. Oh, and someone tell Gene Simmons that rock most certainly is not dead.
