Soundgarden Team Up With Brandi Carlile for Record Store Day
It might be awhile still before the surviving members of Soundgarden are able to share new/old music with us, but at least we have this.
Kim Thayil, Ben Sheppard, and Matt Cameron have enlisted singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile and re-recorded versions of “Black Hole Sun” from 1994’s Superunknown and “Searching With My Good Eye Closed” from 1991’s Badmotorfinger. The songs will be released on 7″ as part of this year’s Record Store Day celebrations. Consequence of Sound has the full story here.
