Pearl Jam guitar slinger Mike McCready recently sat down with Rolling Stone and gave, among other things, and update on the band.

The piece starts with McCready’s work on a new Johnny Cash documentary–The Gift: The Journey of Johnny Cash–which debuts on YouTube today. I posted the doc below, but before you dive into that, let’s get the skinny on what’s doing for Pearl Jam in 2020.

Says McCready: “We’ve been busy toiling in the studio on and off for seven years. We’re working at our own pace, and doing some music right now, and it’s cool and different and I’m excited about it. But we’re not finished with anything yet. So I wish I had an answer for you, but know that we are recording right now. We’re excited to be playing together again.”

And as far as tour dates in 2020? “Nothing as of yet,” continues McCready. Click here for the full Rolling Stone feature, and get into the Man In Black doc below.
