Jayson Tatum posts fourth grade essay

Just 9 hours ago (late Tuesday night) Jayson Tatum shared an essay from the fourth grade on his Instagram story. The entire essay got into very vivid details as to what his personal and professional life would be like. Now while some of the predictions have come true, it is very shocking to see which NBA teams Jayson predicted he would play for. We won’t spoil it for your this second (you’ll have to scroll down for that). However, we will say our beloved Boston Celtics was NOT part of Jayson Tatum’s equation.

Jayson Tatum never intended to be a Boston Celtic

So, in regards to which teams he predicted he’d play for, the Boston Celtics did not factor into his future plans. No, we can’t blame him for his choices but we’d like to think that reality is a nice surprise for Tatum and that he would not change a thing. Regardless, Jayson made several predictions in his essay from the fourth grade including who he’d be married to. He didn’t let us know what he received for a grade for the essay but he certainly kept it so it must have special meaning for him. Here are the predictions Jayson Tatum had for his future according to Jayson’s fourth grade self.

  • Jayson Tatum predicts attending Ohio State University where he'd meet his wife, Kristen

According to his essay he would have attended Ohio State for one year and will have met his wife Kristen. He says she would have gone to their law school. He didn’t describe her but he did talk about their kids.

  • Jayson and Kristen would have 2 kids, a boy and a girl and they will have a big house in Phoenix

Jayson says they’d have a boy and a girl. The boy would be Justin and the girl would be Nichole. Justin will play basketball and be “very good at it too.” And Nichole will play volleyball. The family will have a big house in Phoenix.

  • Jayson says at age 19 he will have been in the NBA one year, playing for Phoenix and LA Lakers

Celtics fans will hate this. Jayson predicted he’d play for the Phoenix Suns and then be traded to the LA Lakers. “I will be nervous at first but I will get to use it after a while as the crowd will cheer me on.”

He says in 20 years he’ll have three NBA championships. Safe to say when he wrote this, he was around 9/10. Well, he is 1/3 of the way there already at the age of 26.

  • Jayson predicts he will give back to the community

He’s always had that philanthropic gene. According to his essay “I will want to help poor kids and give back to the community. I want to give back what I never had.” Jayson has already developed the Jayson Tatum foundation and has donated millions of dollars.

  • Cars will run on corn, not gas

As far as the world we live in, Jayson says there will be many changes. One of which being that cars will run on corn instead of gas. He also thinks global warming will be affecting the earth. Corn still has a ways to go but global warming is definitely a thing.
