Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston issue is finally here. This issue has been the guide of Bostonian’s for years and highlights the best of the best area businesses. From restaurants, to spas, to hotels, to nightclubs, there is no category left out. Before we get to some of our favorites and our highlights, let’s take a look at how staffers at the magazine determine their choices.
50 Years of “Boston’s Best”
The first time Boston Magazine selected “The Best and The Worst of Boston” was in 1974. This was 50 years ago. We are now entering into the magazine’s 50th year of picking the best of what the city and beyond has to offer. When trying to find how the choices are made, we couldn’t exactly find their criteria. It seems as if the choices are simply the opinions of the staff at Boston Magazine. In the description, it reads “Here’s the best of Boston in our eyes today.”
They actually break it down into Boston AND “Beyond the City” categories. They even break it down into sub categories like “Weddings,” “Home,” “Kids,” “Service,” “Arts and City Life” and more.
