Bring The Famiglia
Whenever someone comes to town to visit, or I’m just looking for something fun to do in the city. This is my go-to. Last weekend, we brought my sister and niece to the Improv on Hanover Street. It never disappoints. And the fact that it’s in the heart of the North End, on Hanover St, makes it that much sweeter. You walk out the door and there’s dozens and dozens of fabulous dining options. It’s a built-in full night out.
It’s one of the few live events you can go to in the city for $35 and under! Our tickets started at $29 for the 5:00 show on Saturday. It’s 90 minutes of cleverly creative, runoff adrenaline, interactive, comedic entertainment. That’s the only way I can think of to describe it. And if you aren’t interested in being part of the “interactive,” you don’t have to be. Just kick back and chortle.
Comedy is a tough business, but Boston’s comedy scene has always been good, with clubs like Laugh Boston, Nick’s Comedy Stop and The Wilbur. But the Improv Asylum offers more than a show. It’s a chance to be a part of it, or at least witness audience members being a part of it in some way. Connecting their real life stories to the stage, through the genius of improvisational art.
See for yourself! Go to Improv Asylum! It’s really a fun night out. . Get tickets and information HERE. By the way, gift cards to the Improv for more great gifts!
