Stranger Things continues to capture our imagination as the summer of 2022 rolls on. And this latest revelation will leave you laughing.

If you’re not caught up, I’ll get you there. And I’ll keep it spoiler-free. Season 4 of Stranger Things debuted with seven new episodes back in May. On July 1st, the final two episodes dropped. And they were both long as hell, so don’t go thinking the show was skimping with two measley episodes. It was more like two feature-length movies. The short, spoiler-free version goes like this: the gang are spread out all over the globe, fighting a new iteration of the same evil from Seasons 1-3.

Road Trip!

With the group dynamic changed drastically for Season 4, Stranger Things has a lot of ground to cover both plot-wise and road-wise. As the story progresses, the Byers brothers and Mike take to the road with a new friend: a new character named Argyle. He’s Jonathan’s best friend and drug buddy. Actor Eduardo Franco plays Argyle as the typical ’80s California stoner: long hair, wild clothes, and plenty of weed wisdom. Oh, and he’s a delivery driver for a fictional west coast pizza restaurant chain.

Stranger Things Surfer Boy Pizza

It’s always fun to see the Stranger Things universe riff on various pop culture institutions. Pizza delivery has long been a dietary staple and a pop culture staple in America, so of course it’s represented in the show’s ’80s aesthetic. Again, without spoiling anything, Arglye’s Surfer Boy Pizza delivery van pretty much becomes it’s own character on Season 4. So there’s a bit of a moment when the show shares a shot of the van with the delivery number in plain sight. Yahoo grabbed a great screenshot here. Last week, I gave the number a ring. Take a listen below to what I heard. It’ll make you wish Stranger Things Surfer Boy Pizza was a real restaurant.
