Ahead of Violet Femmes September 17 gig at Leader Bank Pavilion with Flogging Molly, Femmes frontman Gordon Gano called in to the ROCK 92.9 studio.
The Femmes have a lot to celebrate in 2021: 40 years as a band, 30 years of their 1991 album Why Do Birds Sing?, and the recent reissue of their Add It Up (1981-1993) compilation album. Gordon chatted about that and more, including some of the most unique gigs his band has ever played, which include two shows right here in Boston.
