The list of 2023 festivals continues to grow as announcements continue to pour in. We’ll do our best to keep track for you.

Of course, we’ll start first with what’s happening locally. The 2023 edition of Boston Calling Music Festival took place, as usual, on Memorial Day Weekend. I shared my thoughts on this year’s edition, which was an all-timer. And my 14-year-old did a bang-up job of reviewing the weekend, with the focus on the Foo Fighters, of course. I did a little Foo review, too.

If Boston Calling is the unofficial kickoff to the summer concert season, then In Between Days Festival is the bookend on the other end of summer. ROCK 92.9 will be on hand for this one, too: August 19-20 at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Quincy. The daily lineups and no-fee pricing structure were announced this spring. And of course, we have tickets for you to win.

2023 Festivals: A Running List for Boston and Beyond

Three more locally-based music festivals are worthy of note. The Town and The City Festival took place in Lowell over the last weekend in April. You can learn more about that one here. NICE, a fest is back in Somerville for the third straight year. See who’s playing and when. And Beach Road Weekend is happening again on Martha’s Vineyard during the last weekend in August. There’s some big names headlining, too. Take a look here.

As I’m updating this, we’re heading into July, so I’ve added a bunch of July festivals. Later, we’ll move through the rest of 2023. And don’t forget: Your New England Rock Concert Calendar is a valuable resource that takes you past the festivals and digs into all the great shows happening in 2023. This is a running list, too. So save it and keep checking back; I’ll keep adding to it as more festivals are announced.
