Boston Greenway Food Trucks: What You Have To Try
No, this is not a joke. On Monday, April 1, food trucks officially take over the Boston Greenway. The return of all these great bites (and baseball) indicates we are well on our way to full-blown spring. However, with so many Greenway food trucks in rotation where do you begin?
Have no fear, I am here to tell what you absolutely have to try. I’ve done the dirty work so you don’t have to. Meaning, I’ve eaten at almost all of these restaurants on wheels. What I have found is that there is one establishment in particular that reigns king.
In addition, this popular outdoor Boston space offers a wide range of great options. If you work in the area, you can easily frequent the Greenway daily and have a different lunch experience.
Greenway Food Trucks – What You Need To Know
The well-established places that you know and love will be back. This included Chicken and Rice Guys, Jamaica Mi Hungry, and Cookie Monstah.
You will also find a diverse selection of cuisine types. For example, Bibim Box Korean, Indulge India, and North East of the Border Mexican are all part of the 2024 roster.
You also have to give credit to the creative names that go with the vibe of some of these food trucks. If you are wondering what Bees and Thank You food is, walk up to their window and you will find a menu full of vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free grilled cheese sandwiches. This is a new truck joining the Greenway this season.
Speaking of which, let me introduce you to Zaaki Mediterranean and Smoke BBQ who are also new on the scene.
You may new be chewing on your sleeve in excitement, but we still haven’t gotten to the best of the best.
Paisani Italian
Who wouldn’t be intrigued by a sandwich called the “Drunken Chicken Parm?” Paisani is not a food truck to walk past. This is a perfectly breaded chicken cutlet topped with fresh mozzarella and vodka sauce. It’s all served perfectly on an Italian roll.
Then you have the Sloppy Paisani. It consists of crispy eggplant, homemade bolognese sauce, honey-whipped ricotta, provolone, and Parmigiano.
Paisani (based out of Medford) also has an arancini small bites option. Daily or weekly specials also grace their board and often sell out quickly.
