CVS is stepping up to do some good amid the coronavirus pandemic. Per USA Today, the brand plans on hiring 50,000 additional workers for a variety of full-time, part-time, and temporary positions, including store positions, home delivery, distribution, and customer service.

CVS will also be gifting their employees with bonuses up to $500. Larry Merlo, CVS CEO, explains, “Our colleagues have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to providing essential goods and services at a time when they’re needed most. As they continue to be there for the individuals and families we serve, we’re taking extra steps to provide some peace of mind and help them navigate these uncertain times.”

The company also recently announced that it would give 24 hours of paid sick leave to part-time employees. CVS will remain open during the coronavirus pandemic.
