The most expensive tours of 2024…so far. As the year rolls on and our concert calendars fill up, it’s time for some number-crunching.
Let’s take a look back first, though. I put together this Top 10 of the most expensive concert tickets of 2023 at the beginning of the year. You’ll likely not be surprised when I tell you that Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and U2‘s Las Vegas Sphere residency ranked highly. But neither of them was No. 1. Take a look here to see who was No. 1 and to check out the rest of the Top 10.
Just like my last list, the numbers from this list come via Gametime. They bill themselves as “the leading app/site for last minute tickets.” They’ve crunched the numbers and compiled a list of the 10 most expensive tours of 2024 (so far). There’s a bit of carryover from 2024, which is to be expected, as that’s how touring cycles go. But there are also some new acts that make this list.
The Top 10 Most Expensive Tours of 2024
These numbers are staggering because, as I’ve written before, year: Concert Ticket Prices Are Insane, and It Will Likely Stay That Way. You can read my piece to dig into the reasons why. And you can also cut costs by entering to win tickets on the ROCK 92.9 Contest Page. The number of shows we’re giving away tickets to in 2024 is borderline ridiculous.
And I’ll say it again before we dive into this most expensive tours list: the best way to save money on live music is to support the local scene. Boston (and beyond) is blessed with a bevy of brilliant live acts. And the city’s live music venues flourish when we, the music fans, show out for gigs. I think you’ll agree, especially once you’ve experienced the sticker shock below.
