The three-day weekend is upon us, so let’s get wild and throw together a three-way or three, what do you say?

OK, first of all, get your mind out of the gutter. I’m not talking about that kind of three-way. Not that I’m against it! No kink-shaming here. If it’s safe, sane, and consensual, go for it. That’s just not the type of three-way we’re dealing with here.

And no, we’re not dealing with that North Shore roast beef delicacy either. Although, now that I’ve said that out loud, I would absolutely crush a junior beef 3-way right now. Preferably from Alta’s or Jamie’s in Peabody. Or from Billy’s in Wakefield. Or Pete’s in Woburn. Dammit, every time I try to go meatless, my stomach reminds me how much I love that sweet, sweet beef, drenched in James River, slathered in mayo.

No, the three-way in question here is ROCK 92.9’s 3-Day/3-Way Weekend. We’re talking three song sets by ROCK’S biggest artists. It all starts on Friday at noon and lasts all the way until you drink your last beverage late Monday night. It’s basically riff on my 3-Way @ 3, weekdays at 3 p.m. That’s when I put together a three-song set with a theme. It’s just that, this weekend, you’ll know the theme: it will always be three songs by the same artist. Get it? Got it? Good.

Three-Day Weekend Three-Ways

To warm you up (and to use the weekend to promote my daily feature; this is radio, after all), I’ve shared a series of recent three-ways below. I’ve set it up with the three songs first, followed by the theme, so you can scroll down slowly and try and figure it out before you scroll all the way to the answer.
