The lineup for Boston Calling 2023 lineup has been announced. Let’s take a walk through and wise you up to who you need to see.
As has been the tradition since 2017, Boston Calling Music Festival is set to take place at the Harvard Athletic Complex on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-18. You can get all the details on tickets and pricing and presales and whatnot right here. And because we here at ROCK 92.9 love hooking you up with concert tickets, we’ve already got a chance for you to win a pair of 3-day wristbands.
We were on hand for the return of Boston Calling in 2022, and to say the weekend was memorable would be a gross understatement. Metallica absolutely crushed in the headlining slot. And Nine Inch Nails playing back-to-back nights to fill in for the COVID-stricken Strokes was an all-time boss move by Trent Reznor. I recapped the whole weekend here.
Boston Calling 2023 Lineup: 12 Bands to See
I’ve been on hand in some way, shape or form for each and every Boston Calling, dating back to its debut in 2013 on City Hall Plaza. And one of the things I love most about the festival is the commitment to up-and-coming acts. Sure, I’ve seen some huge headliners over the years. But it’s been the undercard that I’ve usually found the most compelling.
In that spirit, I’m going to walk you through 12 (of course) bands–both big and small–that you should make sure and see at Boston Calling 2023. You’ll get my short description and a link to look and see and hear for yourself. Some bands you’ll know, some bands you might not. But they all get the Adam 12 Seal of Approval, which isn’t actually a thing. But you’re picking up what I’m putting down. Now get scrolling and I’ll see you in May.
