It’s all part of the Summer of Rock on on Boston’s ROCK 92.9. All summer long, we’re giving away tickets to a slew of area shows, reviewing some of the bigger ones, and airing long sets from the artists on our ROCK 92.9 Encore.

All you need to do to get involved is download the free ROCK 92.9. app. Grab it in the Apple App Store or Google Play, tap on the Contest page, and start scrolling. Enter to win tickets to any or all of the shows you want.

Slash Tickets: The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Tour

Slash is hitting the road this summer, fest-style. His S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival features Keb Mo’, ZZ Ward, and Robert Randolph. It’s billed as “A Celebration of the Blues” and it’s all coming to Leader Bank Pavilion on Thursday, August 1.

Tickets are available now via Ticketmaster. Or, you can score yours for free on the 3-Way @ 3. Listen from Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 at 3 p.m. If you’re the first to call in and get the theme right, you’ll get the Slash tickets.

The Top 10 Most Expensive Summer Tours of 2024 are Amusing

The list is out. The Top 10 most expensive summer tours of 2024 have been tallied. See where your fave artists land on the list.

Maybe “amusing” isn’t the right word here? Or maybe it is. Because I’m amused that people are paying top dollar to see this guy, in particular. But hey, that’s just me and my musical taste. And my penchant for being judgy.

I’ll say this, too. I’m happy that, of the 10 artists on this list, only 2 of them are artists we play on ROCK 92.9. And they’re the type of artists you’d expect to pay a few bucks to see. Otherwise, I guess rock is a bit more affordable these days?

Most Expensive Summer Tours: 2024 Overview

Earlier this year, we looked at the Top 10 most expensive tours of 2024. You can review that here. Four of the artists on that list pop up on this one, albeit in different spots, as they are all acts who’ve extended their tour dates into the summer.

Interesting to note, though, that the median ticket prices for the top 2 artists on the 2024 list are more expensive than the median ticket prices for the top artist on the summer 2024 list. So maybe those ticket prices are starting to creep down a bit?

    Median Ticket Price: $381 per ticket

    Given the amount of effort and energy Pink puts into her live shows, this might be the best value on this entire list.

  • 9) Chris Stapleton

    Median Ticket Price: $391.50 per ticket

    I don’t have much use for modern country. It all sounds the same to my ears. Except this guy. What a talent. And this song is phenomenal.

  • 8) Garth Brooks

    Median Ticket Price: $426 per ticket

    Up just over $100 from the median price of his tour dates from earlier this year. For that kind of money, I’d better be getting some Chris Gaines!

  • 7) Rolling Stones

    Median Ticket Price: $430 per ticket

    They played Gillette Stadium at the end of May, so their local summer tour date has already come to pass. At least now you know if you overpaid!

  • 6) Los Bukis

    Median Ticket Price: $448 per ticket

    One of Mexico’s most popular music acts from the late ’70s through the early ’90s, their reunion tour is fetching top dollar on the ticket market.

  • 5) Noah Kahan

    Median Ticket Price: $462 per ticket

    The Vermont native’s star just keeps on rising. As do his ticket prices. Bet you wish you’d caught him at Boston Calling last year!

  • 4) Pearl Jam

    Median Ticket Price: $523 per ticket

    A pair of tickets to Pearl Jam in the summer of ’24 will run you a thousand bucks, on average. Say it ain’t so, Eddie!

  • 3) Morgan Wallen

    Median Ticket Price: $562.50 per ticket

    Again, I can’t with this guy.

  • 2) Bruno Mars

    Median Ticket Price: $619.50 per ticket

    I’ve got no issue with Bruno Mars. Talented, charismatic. But this price seems steep. Maybe if it was Silk Sonic? More for your dollar.

  • 1) Olivia Rodrigo

    Median Ticket Price: $963 per ticket

    That’s double what the median price was when Oliva landed at No. 5 on the 2024 overall list. Good luck with that!
