When you are giving accommodation recommendations to friends, how often do you describe a place as “the best hotel ever?" Regardless of your reason, something about staying there makes it special. Furthermore, you associate your stay with being a major contributor to the great time you experienced during your trip. Fifty Grande recently named its 2024 “Greatest Hotels Ever,” and two Massachusetts hotels made the list.

Fifty Grande explained that their definition of “Greatest Hotels Ever” means, “What are the most notable hotel experiences in the U.S., ones with a bit of attitude, for under $350 a night?”

As a result, a distinguished list of places across the country that offer guests a memorable experience for a reasonable cost was compiled. Then it was arranged by market so you can truly find the greatest, coolest, or even best hotel ever.

In Massachusetts, the two places are very different. But the reason you would visit these places would also be vastly different. We’re talking about a mid-city, artsy, yet-modern hotel. Then, you’re going to hop on ferry and lay in the lap of a more luxurious Inn just minutes from the beach.

Here Are The Two Greatest Hotels Ever In Massachusetts

First, in Boston, it’s The Verb. We agree here for sure. This place is awesome. It’s relatively small, but the entire place is rock and roll themed. In addition, it is in the Fenway Park neighborhood. The Verb describes itself as a “boutique, music-themed hotel.” Staying true to their intentions, The Verb has become a popular place for out-of-town concert-goers to stay when going to a show at Fenway Park.

The next Massachusetts hotel to make the list is in Martha’s Vineyard. The Oak Bluffs Inn is nestled into the heart of the island. It’s also a boutique that consists of just ten rooms. “It’s the coziness of your mother’s living room with the soothing tones and soft light of a beach house,” Fifty Grande says.

Honorable Mention

In addition to these admirable Massachusetts hotels, a few other New England places also received recognition. They are: the Woodstock Inn and Resort in Vermont, the Dean Hotel in Rhode Island, and the Lincoln Hotel in Maine.
