Here’s How To Celebrate The Boston Bruins Centennial Season

100 years? That’s a pretty incredible success story. With this new season, The Bruins become the first U.S. based NHL team to hit the centennial mark. And they are only the 3rd team overall to reach their 100th. What can we do to honor this remarkable milestone? Here’s how to celebrate the Boston Bruins Centennial Season.

The team kicked off the celebration last month with a fashion show of their new jerseys (see below). They also have planned quite a few theme nights throughout the season. President Cam Neely told Boston Hockey Now, “Honoring over 1,000 Bruins alumni will be a big part of our Centennial celebration. Our alumni are the lifeblood of this team. As a former player, I personally understand the honor and responsibility of wearing the Spoked-B, and I look forward to celebrating our alumni and their lasting impact on our club and city.”

Celebrate

The Boston Bruins have a page on their website dedicated to the centennial milestone.  The Bs will host five “Era Nights” throughout the season to honor their rich history. Ticketed fans will get a collectible era-themed mini pennant at the turnstiles on each Era Night. Get your tickets HERE.

  • Era Night 1- The Early Years (1924- 1959): October 28 Bruins vs. Detroit Red Wings
  • Era Night 2- Big Bad Bruins (1960-1976): November 18 Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens
  • Era Night 3- Lunch Pail A.C.(1977-1985): December 16 Bruins vs. New York Rangers
  • Era Night 4- New Blood, New Beginnings (1986-2000): January 20 Bruins vs. Montreal Canadiens
  • Era Night 5- Return of the Champion (2001-present): March 7 Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

Era Nights will conclude on March 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, with the “Return of the Champion” Era Night (2001-present), presented by Coca-Cola. Ticketed fans will receive a collectible era-themed mini pennant at turnstiles on each Era Night.

The Boston Bruins will also hold theme nights starting this Saturday 10/14/23 with Teacher Appreciation night. Other Theme nights are:

  • Military Appreciation
  • Black Friday
  • Hockey is for Everyone
  • Women in Sports
  • Heart Health
  • First Responder
  • St. Patrick’s Day
  • Fan Appreciation/ Shirts Off Our Backs
