I recently shared this Top 10 list of movies filmed in MA, and you had some thoughts. So what’s YOUR favorite movie filmed in Massachusetts?

That Top 10 list comes from a BetMassachusetts list they called Top 10 Massachusetts Movies: Best Movies Filmed in Massachusetts. I liked it because it’s made up of a whole bunch of films I didn’t expect to see. It’s always a good thing when a Top 10 list throws you a curveball like that. What’s more, the Top 10 contains mostly films from the last two decades. Refreshing! Usually, with a “Top 10 Movies” list you end up with a lot of older flicks, which is fine. But again, the treat of the unexpected outcome makes this list a standout for me.

You, however, saw things differently.

When I shared my list, a bunch you came out of the woodwork to tell me what movies were missing. It was a master class not only in great films I’d forgotten about, but in great films that were filmed and set in Massachusetts. The most glaring omission? Jaws. How the hell did Jaws not make that Top 10 list? It’s one of the greatest movies ever made, horror or otherwise. And last time I checked, Martha’s Vineyard–where Jaws was filmed–is very much a part of Massachusetts.

What’s Your Favorite Movie Filmed in Massachusetts?

So for this week’s 12-Inch Poll, I’ve taken a few picks from the Top 10 I shared and a bunch of picks that you said should have made that Top 10. You can take a look at those below, and then you can cast a vote for your favorite. And even with this expanded list, I’m sure I’ll still miss some important ones, so hit the ROCK 92.9 Facebook or Twitter and tell me what those are. Maybe I’ll even make a third list!
