Four Men Charged In The Theft Of A $6M Golden Toilet
Only MC Hammer and a few other people in the history of the world have been successful enough to enjoy the pleasure of pooping on a golden toilet. The desire to perform such an act of defecation must have really been weighing on 4 men in the UK, well that or the $6M the golden toilet would cost.
According to a report, earlier this week 4 men were charged in the theft of an 18K gold plated toilet. The toilet was stolen from Blenheim Palace in the UK, where British leader Winston Churchill was born.
The toilet was part of an art installation because it’s actually an artwork titled “America” intended to make a statement about excessive wealth.
The golden toilet was fully functioning, and before the heist, visitors could book an appointment to actually use it. When the thieves removed it, they caused “significant damage and flooding” to the building.
Seven men have been arrested in connection with the crime, which actually happened back in 2019, now four years later four men are being charged. The men, ages 35-39 have been charged with burglary and conspiracy to transfer criminal property. The toilet has still not been recovered and is missing.
Investigators believe that no one will likely ever see the toilet again. An item with that much gold and value has likely been disposed of.

Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America’s Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I’m not sure if those shows are around…and I’m certain Spike TV isn’t around anymore. That’s a story for another time.

Craziest Crimes
Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren’t a matter of life or death. There’s no ethics quiz here, or any matters of ‘would you steal bread to support your family?’ These crimes, and criminals, aren’t straight up cringeworthy.
