Single Parking Spot Lists for $750,000 in Boston’s Beacon Hill
A parking spot inside Boston’s Brimmer Parking Garage just went up for sale with an incredible $750,000 asking price – more than what most people spend on a whole house in Massachusetts. The spot comes with valet service and can fit smaller SUVs.
This isn’t your regular parking space – it’s actually a condo unit with its own deed. Buyers need to pay $400 monthly for condo fees and handle property taxes. The spot has already gotten attention, with several offers coming in.
“If you’re buying a home for millions and millions of dollars on the hill and you have no parking and if you can get a space for $500 to $700,000, it’s almost splitting hairs. It’s a very good investment,” said listing agent Rene Rodriguez to WCVB.
The current owners got the spot from their mother. Rodriguez notes how rare these chances are: “These spaces don’t come to market very often.”
Local resident Alexa Fitzgerald supports the high price: “I would say it might be worth it to the right person. It’s hard to understand, and that’s why we’re talking about it.”
While Gov. Maura Healey works on fixing the state’s housing crisis, prime parking spots in certain areas still fetch top dollar.
The neighborhood’s narrow streets and scarce parking create ongoing problems. “I live in the neighborhood, and I parallel park once a week,” Fitzgerald says, “so I can see why someone would want to pay that much to park here.”
Owners get special treatment with full valet service. Each spot comes with complete ownership rights, just like regular property.
With no new parking being built and increasing demand, these spots keep their value as both practical needs and smart investments.
