Harpoon Life Is Good Collab Brings Summer Style, Summer Fun

The new Harpoon Life Is Good collaboration is bringing a new brew and a bevy of prizes to your summer imbibing experience.

Founded in 1986, Boston’s Harpoon Brewery has the distinction of being the first brewery in New England to brew an India Pale Ale. While IPAs are commonplace nowadays, back in 1992, they were a bit of a novelty to beer drinkers.

Live Is Good has a long local history as well. The lifestyle brand has its roots in Needham, MA, where brothers Bert and John Jacobs began designing and selling t-shirts on the streets of Boston in 1989. Now, Life Is Good is everywhere.

The Harpoon Life Is Good Collab Means New Beer!

The new brew, called Summer Style, has officially debuted and will be available through August. The two Boston-based brands say the hazy blonde ale “embodies the spirit of summer and makes the perfect sipping companion for everything.”

Summer Style is now on shelves in 12- and 6-pack 12 oz bottles, as well as 12-pack 12 oz cans. And here’s a pro tip: Hit Harpoon’s Beer Finder here to see where your closest retailer is, instead of going on a packie-hunt.

Matching Dunkin' Spiked Drinks to North Shore Towns

The new line of Dunkin’ Spiked Drinks is out and available. So it’s time to match each one up with its appropriate North Shore town.

 

If you missed the news, Dunkin’ recently announced a new line of spiked iced coffees and spiked ice teas. This an idea that’s been a long time coming and that fans of the Dunkin’ brand have been clamoring for. After all, just last year Dunkin’ teamed up with Harpoon Brewery in Boston for their Box O’ Beer. It was just the latest iteration of a collaboration that’s been going on for about five years.

 

And now we have Dunkin’ Spiked Iced Coffees and Iced Teas. There are four flavors of spiked iced coffee and four flavors of spiked iced tea. Bot the spiked iced coffees and spiked iced teas are available in a mixed 12-pack, single-flavor six-packs, or in individual cans. You can get everything else you need to know about the new products here. But what I want to know is this: who’s drinkin’ what?

 

Matching Dunkin’ Spiked Drinks to North Shore Towns

I’m a North Shore Kid. I grew up in Greenwood, which is in Wakefield. And I can hear some Cape Ann elitist right now, chirping in that thick-ass North Shore accent: “Wakefield is fake North Shore, kehd.” Oh yeah? Then why the hell does @squareonemallgoth, the king of North Shore memes on IG, constantly bust on Wakefield? Answer me that, tough guy!

 

Actually, don’t. This isn’t a debate. This is about one thing we natives can agree on: North Shore peeps love their Dunkin’. So let’s have a little fun and postulate on which denizens of which North Shore towns are the best personality matches for the new Dunkin’ spiked bevvies. And please, it’s just a silly little bit. So don’t take it personally. Looking in your general direction, Lynnfield.

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Original Iced Coffee

    Gloucester – A no-nonsense quaff with a kick for the no-nonsense, salt-of-the-earth folk of Gloucester. Remember: that’s where the Gorton’s fisherman is from. And you can trust him.

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Caramel Iced Coffee

    Rockport – Gloucester’s uppity older sibling always has to pull that one-upsmanship crap. Can’t just settle for a good ol’ original spiked iced coffee. They’ve gotta sweeten it with caramel. Superiority complex much?

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Mocha Iced Coffee

    Salem – Dark. Brooding. Mysterious. It’s the Witch City incarnate, just in a Dunkin’-branded tin can with a bit of booze thrown in. Kinda like the tourists who take the place over every October: a bit boozy.

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Vanilla Iced Coffee

    Manchester-by-the-Sea – I mean, c’mon. Is there a more “vanilla” town on the North Shore than Manchester-by-the-Sea? Look at what they named themselves! This town full of retired lawyers isn’t touching coffee if it isn’t flavored.

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Slightly Sweet Iced Tea

    Beverly – Beverly folks just strike me as tea drinkers. If you were going to rank North Shore towns from edgiest to least edgy, Beverly would land toward the bottom. They’re “slightly sweet,” like this drink.

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Half & Half Iced Tea

    Wakefield – Gonna shout out my hometown here. Half in, half out with regards to their North Shore affiliation, depending on who you talk to. Whatever. For years, Wakefield had 2 Dunks less than a mile from each other on the same side of Main St. and they were both constantly slammed. And Lucy RULED.

     

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Strawberry Dragonfruit Iced Tea Refresher

    Revere – This sounds exactly like what a girl from Revere would drink. I don’t know what else to tell you.

  • Dunkin’ Spiked Mango Pineapple Iced Tea Refresher

    Lynn – The City of Sin (and former home of WFNX, RIP) has my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Commonwealth: Tacos Lupita. They have a killer chorizo burrito and mango and pineapple flavored Jarritos. So there you go.
