DAN was built on the subreddit r/ChatGPT and has the interesting ability to bypass safeguards allowing it to discuss topic that normal A.I. finds taboo of off limits. Now, Gen Z seems to be developing quite the crush on DAN.

According to Business Insider, DAN actually stands for Do-Anything-Now. That's an appriopriate name for A.I. software. DAN is able to talk about sex stuff, crimes, and more after bypassing safeguards.

However, this is why we can't have nice things. People are falling for DAN online. Seriously, they love DAN. It's...incredibly creepy and odd. Sure, I understand how messing around with A.I. platforms can be fun, but some of these people are taking it to an unnecessary level. One person spent nearly 10 minutes on TikTok talking about their love for DAN! See that odd video below.

DAN may have some smooth lines from time-to-time. However, that's the problem with dealing with A.I. It's just not consistent. It made no sense and had nothing to do with the user.

Even though he makes mistakes...don't we all? It's not stopping the internet from falling for DAN. It looks like it's taking off as a running joke online. Unless these people are serious? I really hope they aren't being serious and it's just some sort of joke.
