Let's meet today's contestant! She comes to us from Sandusky, Ohio. Home of Cedar Point and Callahan Auto. This woman allegedly posed as a nurse and a Physical Therapist without having any medical training at all, according to 13 ABC.
13 ABC reports Detective Joe Rotuno with Perkins Township Police said, "We have charged her with a couple felonies. That was just to kind of get the ball rolling. We expect a very large indictment."
Police say Amanda Maynard-Murphy, 33, allegedly used the Physical Therapy number of a different Amanda Maynard and the Social Security Number of a separate woman in North Carolina in order to pass background checks. So, she seems like she might be a go-getter! That can be hot. Let's keep the story going.
According to Police, she had jobs at several health care facilities across the area, and there may be more than even they know. According to 13 ABC, Detective Rotuno even made comparisons between her story and a famous movie saying, "But the day we arrested her, she was in scrubs and had a stethoscope on when she was arrested, and this was at like, noon, 11 o'clock in the morning. Again, Catch Me If You Can. I don't know if that's the case. Maybe she was just putting on a front."
