Wolfgang Van Halen Throws Shade at Miranda Lambert
Wolfgang Van Halen has “entered the chat” — if you will — regarding country music star Miranda Lambert.
Lambert has been a hot topic lately. She’s been making all sorts of headlines after she called out some fans in the front row of her recent show in Las Vegas for trying to take selfies instead of watching the show. Lambert stops her performance of her song “Tin Man” to say, “I’m gonna stop right here for a second; I’m sorry. These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it. At all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music.”
The moment has divided music fans, regardless of their favorite genre. However, it appears Van Halen took issue with Lambert stopping the show to criticize some fans.
The multi-instrumentalist retweeted a video of Lambert from another show where she popped a beach ball fans were hitting around in the crowd. The video was captioned, “Miranda Lambert also once popped a fan’s beach ball when she got annoyed that the crowd was having fun with it. She’s like the Grinch of country music.”
Van Halen accompanied his retweet with, “Yeah, I’m familiar with this type of fun-sucking behavior.”
