Ozzy Osbourne Reacts to His Four Grammy Nominations
Ozzy Osbourne received four Grammy Award nominations yesterday (November 15) related to his latest studio album Patient Number 9. It was an honor the icon clearly appreciated.
The Prince of Darkness said in a brief statement, “I’m honestly overwhelmed. Making this record was a great way to me to get back to work as I continued to heal. It’s pretty great to be acknowledged at this point in my career.”
Osbourne received the following nominations: Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song for “Patient Number 9” (ft. Jeff Beck), Best Rock Performance of “Patient Number 9” (ft. Jeff Beck) and Best Metal Performance for “Degradation Rules” (ft. Tony Iommi.)

In total, Osbourne has won three Grammy Awards in his career on top of the Lifetime Achievement Grammy he was awarded in 2019 as a member of Black Sabbath. Two of his three competitive Grammy wins came with Black Sabbath. His lone solo Grammy Award came in 1994 when he won Best Metal Performance with Vocal for “I Don’t Want To Change The World” off his live album aptly titled Live & Loud.
