Alanis Morissette paid tribute to her former drummer, the late Taylor Hawkins, during a recent London concert. Watch footage from the special performance below.

Many people know of Hawkins exclusively through Foo Fighters, but Hawkins was in Morissette’s touring band from 1995-1997, before joining the Foos in ’97. He even appears in the music videos for “You Oughta Know” and “You Learn.”

Morissette is on her Jagged Little Pill anniversary tour, and according to NME, the superstar honored Hawkins during the first of two concerts at The O2 in London. She paid tribute to the drummer while performing “Ironic” at the end of her set. She played the song while images of Hawkins were shown on the stage screen, and at the end of the set, an image of Hawkins appeared with “In Memory of Taylor Hawkins” overlaying the image.

Hawkins passed away suddenly at the age of 50 while on tour in Bogotá, Columbia, with the Foo Fighters earlier this year. This September will bring two “Foo Fighters and Hawkins Family Present Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts,” and Morissette is slated to appear at the Los Angeles date.
