LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - NOVEMBER 26: Singer/guitarist James Hetfield of Metallica performs during a stop of the band's WorldWired Tour at T-Mobile Arena on November 26, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Everybody has their favorite pump-up music, and for the Virginia Tech football team, it’s Metallica.

The team took the field to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” before their game against North Carolina on Friday (Sept. 3).

The team’s larger-than-life entrance even registered on seismograph readings in Blacksburg, Virginia, as referenced by @RedditCFB. That’s what you get when you have 65,000 football fans rocking out to Metallica simultaneously.

Metallica tunes are commonly played at sports events, but considering these football fans have been home for a year, it’s no wonder they exploded as if it was their first time hearing the band.

In other news, Metallica will reissue their famed Black Album in conjunction with their Super Deluxe 30th anniversary edition box set this Friday (Sept. 10).
