Jackson Browne, Kermit the Frog Recordings Added to National Recording Registry
Jackson Browne and Kermit the Frog are among the list of artists to have recordings added to the National Recording Registry.
Since its creation in 2000, 25 different titles ranging from songs to albums to even podcast and news recordings are added to the registry every year that are “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.” Among the titles this year are Browne’s 1974 album Late for the Sky and Kermit the Frog’s 1979 song “The Rainbow Connection.”
Other artists to have recordings added to the registry this year include Janet Jackson, Labelle, Kool & the Gang, Jimmy Cliff, Marlo Thomas and more.
