Gov. Baker Announces Massachusetts to Ease Business Capacity Limits Starting Monday
Gov. Charlie Baker announced on Thursday (2/4) that Massachusetts will relax capacity restrictions on certain businesses beginning Monday, February 8th.
Baker said the 25% capacity limit will be increased to 40% for restaurants, gyms, and other businesses effective at 5 a.m. on Monday, due to downward trends in new cases of COVID-19. The gathering limit of 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors will still remain for now. In addition, the state will remain in Phase 3, Step 1 of its reopening plan.
