University Officials Advise Students to Wear Masks during Sex
As many returning schools have done, the University of Georgia in Atlanta has released a set of coronavirus guidelines for students to follow.
Only its list includes something others don’t: advice on staying safe when having on-campus sex.
The words of sexual wisdom shared by UGA’s administration on Tuesday include, “You are your safest sex partner. Practice solo sex, and limit the number of sex partners you have.”
It also advises students to “wash your hands and objects with warm water for at least 20 seconds before and after sexual activity.”
And the guideline that’s probably least likely to be observed reads, “Consider wearing a mask during sex.”
That’s not to say the school’s administrators know everything about staying safe from the coronavirus during sex.
They write in the guidelines, “We do not know if COVID-19 can be spread through vaginal and anal sex.”
