A guy in Maine was caught hoarding illegal tarantulas in a motel room this week. He had 53 of them in there, at least three of which are species that are illegal to have in Maine, and he was cited for illegal possession of animals.

NORWAY - Inn Town Motel manager Andrew Coombs found dozens of unwanted guests when he tried to collect payment from one of his motel customers Saturday. A total of 53 hairy spiders in plastic cases were arranged throughout the room on stands and tables. Coombs promptly called police.
