Report: Mick Jagger Has Doctor On Tour After Heart Procedure
Mick Jagger is seemingly back to normal on tour with The Rolling Stones after having heart valve surgery, which led to the tour’s initial postponement, but reportedly, Jagger has a doctor on tour as a precaution.
The Daily Mail says when Jagger’s on stage that he “has a cardiologist waiting in the wings at every Rolling Stones concert ‘just in case.'” The U.K. tabloid’s source said, “There has always been a doctor on tour with the band – that’s a requirement of any major tour, particularly given the ages of the band members, But now Mick has undergone heart surgery, there is a cardiologist there too, just for him. The insurance company demands it just in case anything happens.”
Given Jagger’s long-standing good health and his presumed access to some of the best doctors in the world, most fans can rest easy that he won’t really need medical attention on tour since his heart surgery. Fortunately, there’s plenty of recovery time between show dates as well. After performing this past Saturday (June 29) in Burl’s Creek, Ontario, the Stones’ next show is July 3 in Washington, D.C.
