Leo Baez has always had a passion for fresh, hand picked cacao, ever since he was a little boy growing up in the Dominican Republic. When Leo came to the United States over 29 years ago, he wanted to bring his love of cacao to Jamaica Plain where he decided to settle down. Cacao Nuts & Chocolate, located on Centre Street, specializes in culinary combinations and delicious treats all made with the freshest nuts and chocolate. From coffee, to chocolate covered almonds and cashews, to hot chocolate, Cacao serves all their items with care and love. With the warmer weather coming to Boston, I personally recommend stopping into Cacao for their freshly made paletas – a classic treat that is made from frozen natural fruits or ice cream and covered in nuts, it’s a don’t want to miss item! Cacao is now open seven days a week, Monday through Thursday from 11a until 7pm and Friday and Saturday from 11a until 8pm, and Sunday from 12pm until 6pm.
