Snowport Vendor Raising Money for a Great Cause
One of the many vendors at Boston’s Snowport is selling adorable crocheted goods that raise money for an excellent cause.
Jennifer Hill, founder of Refugee Protection International, recently spoke with WBZ TV about her fundraiser at Snowport, which helps support Syrian refugee camps. Hill is selling a variety of crocheted figures that were made by women in the refugee camps in Syria, and the proceeds help fund the camps.
“I think it’s amazing,” said Hill. ” I also think it brings a sense of normalcy for the lives of the children who are watching their mothers do this. Their moms had jobs before the war, but there are very few opportunities now in displacement.”
