An argument over a bag of weed has resulted in a crazy car crash in Detroit. The chase that started over a bag of marijuana happened on April 20th–the notorious 4/20. Of course this would happen on weed’s biggest day on the calendar.
In the end, the man’s car was left flipped over and property was destroyed. Here’s more on the story below.
Crazy Car Crash Started Over Bag Of Weed
This is a scene that has to be seen to be believed. How nobody was hurt or killed in the crash is astonishing. According to FOX 2 Detroit, a woman chased a man with a bag full of weed until he crashed his car and it launched over a trash pile, flipping the vehicle and destroying a fence on the West Side of Detroit.
A local man, James Smith, tells FOX 2 Detroit he was dozing-off when he heard the crazy car crash, telling them, “The footage that I have shows that he’s saying something like ‘I’ll kill that crazy woman’ when he’s getting out of the car.” Then, as Smith was heading outside to investigate he tells FOX 2 Detroit that he saw the woman attempt to hit the man before a shot was fired. FOX 2 Detroit reports the gunman ran off and the woman got back into her vehicle. The man has since been found and arrested, while police are still searching for the female suspect.
You can watch a video report that covers the incident below. It’s definitely a crazy car crash! It’s like something out of a movie. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the incident which is amazing. Police still aren’t sure who ended up with the bag of weed or how it all initially started. I’m sure it wasn’t the only crime involving weed on 4/20. Dumb things are sure to happen on April 20th, as we have learned.
5 Of The Greatest Stoner Movies Of All-Time
What are the greatest stoner movies of all-time? It’s almost that time, man. April 20th is creeping closer and closer and it’s the one day stoners remembered to circle on their calendar. Year round we–I mean, they–wait for 4/20 to celebrate all things weed.
To celebrate the annual holiday (holidaze), here are 5 of the greatest stoner movies of all-time!
5 Of The Greatest Stoner Movies Of All-Time
First, let’s identify what separates a stoner movie from an ordinary movie. A stoner movie isn’t just a movie that’s great when you’re smoking weed. That’s just any movie. I’ve never heard of a movie that was made worse by THC. If anything, I’ve heard reports and rumors that it can make bad movies enjoyable…allegedly.
A stoner movie has to have marijuana as a main plot point. Something about the general theme of the movie has to involve weed in some sort of fashion. They can be using weed a lot, selling, locating, or anything like that. If it’s not a central part of the plot it’s not a stoner movie.
These movies are great to watch anytime–but especially on April 20th. There’s just something special about watching a stoner classic on 4/20 to celebrate 420. It’s like watching a horror movie on Halloween night. It just feels right. Somehow, it makes the movie even better. You can prepare all your favorite munchies and snacks, some delicious sugary beverages to help the cottonmouth, and then relax to a fantastic movie.
There are definitely no shortage of stoner movies out there available to stream. However, most of them are low-budget and kind of meh. Don’t get me wrong I love a good indie, but sometimes they just aren’t as good as you hoped it would be. Granted, many Hollywood blockbusters and big budget movies end up going the same route.
Of all the stoner movies in the world, here are the first 5 I’d recommend! These are 5 of the greatest of all-time (in my opinion). Did I miss your favorite? Let us know!
Best Stoner Movies For 420
Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
