NICE a fest 2024: What to Know About the Big Somerville Festival
NICE a fest 2024 is on, returning to Somerville for four days at the end of July. You should check it out. Because it’s a fest. And it’s NICE.
The festival debuted in 2021 as a one-day, all-ages event showcasing local music and art. Over the last 3 years, that focus has remained at the forefront while the festival has grown in days, venues, bands, and vendors. So let’s take a look at this year’s model.
NICE a fest 2024: When?
The fun begins with a pre-fest event on Thursday, July 25. Then the festival proper gets underway on Friday, July 26 and runs through Sunday, July 28. Four-day passes are available, or you can just buy single days. All the ticket options are laid out here.
NICE a fest 2024: Where?
It’s all going down in Davis Square, Somerville. This year features a Main Stage on Saturday in the Grove St. Lot. The rest of the live sets take place at Crystal Ballroom and The Rockwell. Outdoor vendors will post up at Statue Park and Kenney Park. Here’s a map!
NICE a fest 2024: Who?
The lineup is stacked, with well-known local favorites like Pile and Palehound leading the way, as well as DJ sets by fave spinners from Uncertain.fm and Allston Pudding. Check out the schedule here, and familiarize yourself with this NICE curated playlist.
NICE a fest 2024: What Else?
The Davis Square stop on the Red Line will drop you right into the mix, so do yourself a favor and take the T, as parking options will be limited, to say the least. And consider the 4-day pass. At just about $100, it’s your best value, ticket-wise.
Otherwise, bring some extra cash to spend at the Small Mart and on band merch. And have a NICE time!
