A woman on a zip-line narrowly avoided an alligator in the water! The near miss was caught on video and you can watch it below!
This would be incredibly scary and is a good reminder of why I don’t like the idea of doing a zip-line.
Alligator Almost Gets Woman On Zip-Line
There are many bad things that can happen when you decide to go on a ride on a Zip-Line. First, you could fall off the thing. Typically, they’re at big heights and that fall would not be pleasant. Yes, the views are great from up there but if you fall it’s going to cause some serious issues.
Additionally, you could get stuck. I’ve seen that happen in videos online. Sometimes the Zip-Line doesn’t zip and you get stuck there dangling and waiting. That’s not ideal.
Then, you could also have an alligator attempt to leap out of the water to try to get you. That’s not as common of a problem on Zip-Lines as the heights thing, but it happened to this woman! She was literally seconds away from an alligator coming between her and the landing dock. Only a few seconds at most!
Check out the viral video below! Would this keep you from ever going on a Zip-Line? I think it did the trick for me. I’m not even sure why you would go on this specific Zip-Line because so many bad things can happen. Not sure where it is but appears to be somewhere in Florida. If it malfunctions and you go in that water I’m sure there are several gators lurking in that marsh just waiting for a snack. Sure, you don’t have the heights to worry about but this adds a new element of danger and fear.

Typically, these kinds of endings can be avoided. A good way to not end up the star of a news story alongside a wild animal? Keep a safe distance. You’ll notice in most of these stories and videos, the problems could have been avoided if people just used a little bit of common sense. Don’t antagonize wild animals and be careful if you’re close to the animal. Especially if it’s significantly bigger than you!
