Grinch and Cindy Loo

A real life Grinch steals Christmas tree!

This low down son of a....gun!  A Grinch who steals Christmas trees! Who does he think he is, stealing a Christmas tree off the roof of a car in the mall? What should the punishment be for this Grinch who stole a Christmas tree? Whatever the maximum allowed by law should be appropriate.

What kind of Grinch would steal someone's tree in broad daylight  at a very heavily travelled mall parking lot? You might think a lot of different things, like maybe he can't afford a tree for his family and was desperate enough to grab it. Perhaps he doesn't believe in Christmas and doesn't want anyone else to enjoy it either. Just like the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. It's basically the same plot line.

What can we take from this?

It's always sad to learn that our fellow man can pull of such a high crime, but we must be aware of current state of affairs with scofflaws brazenly stealing items from stores all over the country. We shouldn't be surprised by this tree stealing son of a Grinch, so if you haven't gotten your tree yet, be sure to not leave unattended where a fellow Grinch can make haste with it and put a damper on your Christmas.

The scene of the crime was in San Matteo, California

According to police, the victim was running errands at the Bridgepointe Shopping Center after getting his tree on Friday. Around 5:20 p.m., the thief, which police described as "Mr. Grinchmas" in a social media post, pulled up next to the victim's vehicle and cut the ropes holding the tree on the roof.

Video then shows the suspect taking the tree off the victim's SUV and placing it into the back of their vehicle. The suspect's vehicle appears to be a white SUV.

"Thankfully, Christmas spirit is still alive because the victim was able to get a replacement tree. But, this does put us in a position to remind you, there are thieves out there looking to take advantage, especially during the Christmas season," police said in a statement.

Police urged shoppers this holiday season to avoid leaving packages in their vehicles. For shoppers running errands and getting a tree, the department urges them to save their visit to the tree lot for the end.

Here's video of the dastardly dude!

The Festive Four? Here Are The Top 4 Holiday Movies We Rewatch Every Christmas Season

The Festive Four?

Here are the top 4 holiday movies we love to re-watch every Christmas season. If you love to watch all the holiday movies and shows then you have most certainly watched all of these. There are no surprises on the top 4, in fact the newest movie was made in 1990.

Most of these are run non-stop starting in November and go straight through December 25th. Some networks run the same show back to back weeks away from the big day. Some networks will run these shows in marathon fashion starting Christmas Eve and all of Christmas day.

It wasn't like this back in the day

Before cable and the 1000 channels you get on your TV, you had to wait for one of the big three networks (ABC, CBS and NBC) to air them. If you missed the broadcast, that was it until next year. We didn't have DVR's to record them with and re-watch whenever we wanted. There was no such thing as "streaming" or "on demand" where you can watch all of your favorite shows anytime and anywhere.

Do you feel sorry for the kids of today who don't know what it's like to  have to wait for their favorite show to come on? I do, because they will not know the excitement of waiting to watch Rudolph when it would come on TV. Remember getting excited knowing it would be on TV on a Friday night at 8:00? There would be hot cocoa and maybe some popcorn made on the stove (not the crappy microwave kind)

Survey says!

People were asked to name which holiday classic that they would watch every year or were planning to. We listed the Top 4 Holiday movies for you to see how they rate with your household. Perhaps some of your favorites didn't make the list, but you have to remember these are the most re-watchable movies that we see at least once during the holiday season.

4. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer 29%

First aired in the holiday season of 1964, this Rankin and Bass stop action figure film has been a must see show for kids and adults alike for nearly 60 years. There are people now who are very judgmental when it comes to the treatment of Rudolph from all the male figures in his life, but we have to judge it based on it's time not what we think is acceptable now. Who doesn't enjoy reindeer games?

3. A Charlie Brown Christmas 32%

This was the first TV special based on the Charles Schulz comic strip classic. It was released in 1965 and is still a favorite today even for children that didn't grow up reading the cartoon strip. The long suffering Charlie Brown is near and dear to our hearts with his optimistic outlook despite all the doubters, namely Lucy Van Pelt.

2. A Christmas Story 33%

Released in 1983, this is the 40th anniversary of the great Christmas classic movie. Based in the Cleveland area circa 1947ish, this was one of the first realistic holiday movies that showed what growing up in a lower middle class family was really like a doting mom and a crabby dad along with a little brother for Ralphie. It's usually on non stop all Christmas day by more than one network, so it'll be easy to find. Also, there is talk of a sequel in the works A Christmas Story 2. Cross your fingers that it doesn't stink!

1. Home Alone 34%

Released in 1990, this holiday movie became a blockbuster hit at the box office and an instant classic. Starring the very young Macauley Culkin as Kevin McCallister and Catherine O'Hara and John Heard as the nice but clueless parents. Along with Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as the two moronic, bungling burglars. It was such a hit that Home Alone 2 Lost in New York was released two years later in 1992. A fun movie for everyone in the family to watch and no surprise that it lands at the number one spot
