‘Friends’-Themed Cruise Will Be Setting Sail In 2022
If ten seasons of Friends and the new reunion special have left you wanting more, you’re in luck because fans can now book a cruise dedicated to the show.
The “Cruise with Friends” is happening on the Celebrity Equinox ship in May 2022. The 500-passenger cruise is setting sail from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and will be stopping in Key West, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico.
On this voyage, it’s not just the destinations that matter but the experiences on the ship itself. They’ll include a “Dress as your favorite Friend” costume party, trivia contest, chocolate-making demo and other Friends-inspired activities. “Get ready to eat like Joey, joke like Chandler, cook like Monica, shop like Rachel, yoga-like Phoebe, and dig like Ross,” the cruise’s website teases.
Bookings are now open for the getaway at CruiseWithFriends.net. Prices start at $1,648 for an inside stateroom. (The most expensive room with a balcony goes for $3,048.) While no Friends cast members will be on the ship, the travel company behind the trip says the cruise is meant to unite fans of the show.
“We love the ‘Friends’ TV show and wanted to give fans an opportunity to connect and make new friends with like-minded people,” explains Farah Samoo, co-founder of Fana World Travel. “The ‘Friends’ reunion just made us more determined to make this happen.”
