The Best Places to Live in the U.S. has been laid out by the folks at Money.com and one Massachusetts city made the list.

These lists come and go, and are constantly updated, so we'll take our bragging rights where we can get them. Money.com sets their list up like this: "In our annual ranking of the top places to live, we look at the things that matter most to people: economic opportunities, quality of life, diversity, and where the best futures lie. Explore below the many different locations — and see if your town made it!"

Well, I can tell you one Massachusetts city made it. And not only did they make it, they made the Top 10. Congrats to Somerville, sitting pretty at No. 7 on the Money.com 50 Best Places to Live in the U.S. "For residents, Somerville offers more than just a wide array of activities. The town claims some of the most affordable home prices in the area, its school district is well-rated, and according to the crime and safety experts at Safewise, it’s actually one of the safest cities in the country — No. 40, to be exact."

Which Mass. City Made The Best Places to Live in the U.S.? Somerville!

In addition to safety, the piece shouts out Somerville's annual "What the fluff" Festival, the Muesum of Bad Art (which is now in Dorchester, actually), and Assembly Row. Hell yeah, LEGO Discovery Museum! They don't mention any of Somerville's fine breweries, though, which is a shame. Would've been nice for them to shout out Aeronaut or Winter Hill. No matter: Somerville made the cut, placed high with high marks, and that's a point of pride. See what other cities made it into the Top 10 so you can be angry that Somerville didn't beat out the six cities that ranked higher.
