Netflix has launched a new category, Short-A– Movies, inspired by Pete Davidson’s Saturday Night Live latest sketch over the weekend (April 2).  The comedian rapped about his preference for a “short a– movie” with Chris Redd, musical guest Gunna and actor Simon Rex about films he considered to be unnecessarily long.  “A really short movie. Like, at most, an hour 40 [mins],” Davidson said about the peak movie time. “‘Cause I’m a simple man with no attention span.”

Netflix has since added the section, with wide-ranging genres, from horror movies like the 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre and 1997’s Anaconda to more feel-good movies like Macauley Caulkin’s Richie Rich (1994) and 2012’s ultimate party movie, Project X.
