What are some Harry Potter spin-offs you think fans would love to see? It would be great to see the Harry Potter world (Potterverse) expand.

I admit, I am a huge Harry Potter fan. The books are some of the best of all-time and are incredible stories. I grew up reading the books and then was at a prime age for the movies when they came out. I still remember being quite bummed when I turned 11 years old and never received my letter inviting me to attend Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry. Despite my lack of invite, I’ve remained a fan of the world of Harry Potter. Personally, I would love to see the powers that be expand the Potterverse. I want more original shows and new stories diving into topics brought up in the books that deserve more attention. I believe I’ve identified 5 Harry Potter spin-offs that fans would love to see.

What Are Some Possible Harry Potter Spin-Offs?

As someone who wants more Harry Potter content, I’m excited that they’re coming out with a new TV Harry Potter TV show. Casting is rumored to be underway now and names are being brought up on who could play certain characters. While it’s great that they’re making this new show, it’s a bit of a let down that it sounds like it will be based on all of the books and essentially a remake. Sure, these TV episodes will allow creators to go deeper into the stories in the books. Just think of how much was left out! The movies didn’t get to include everything and some awesome stuff was left on the cutting room floor. Especially in “Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire.” I feel like there was so much more they could have done that hopefully they’re able to get to in the new show. While I am excited about this new show, I do wish it was on new material instead of stuff we’re all already familiar with.

There’s so much more they could do instead of remaking the story we already know and love. They could create a bigger Harry Potter universe. Just look at what Marvel and DC have been able to do. There are so many different stories to tell and they can all interlap or be isolated depending on what they want to do. We’ve already seen a Harry Potter spin-off with Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Those movies were alright and help up on their own. However, I don’t think anyone reading the books or who watched the original movies were asking for a series on Newt Scamander, as interesting as it was. There are much better choices and stories fans would rather hear about that would be much more interesting! There was also Harry Potter And The Cursed Child play which covered Harry’s children and what happened with them at Hogwarts. However, it’s not nearly as popular as the other works. Check out some examples off possible Harry Potter spin-offs that fans would love to see below.

  • 4 Founders Of Hogwarts

A movie or show all about the 4 founders of Hogwarts would be awesome to see! It would be great to see Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin on the screen. There was clearly some drama that happened between them and it would make for some quality entertainment. This is one I’d really like to see. The dawn and creation of Hogwarts would certainly interest fans.

  • Padfoot, Prongs, Wormtail, and Moony

Seeing more about Padfoot, Prongs, Wormtail, and Moony (the creators of the Marauders’ Map) during their school years would be cool to see. That would mean we could see more on young James and Lily Potter, Sirius Black, Lupin, Peter, and even Snape. It would be new but familiar and I think it would be a success. I could see this actually being made one day and there’s enough already written about their time at Hogwarts that could be implemented into the program.

  • Durmstrang Institute

I think it would be awesome to see a movie or show about one of the other Wizard/Witch schools that are mentioned in the books. You could do one on Durmstrang Institute which was home to notable names like Viktor Krum and Gellert Grindelwald. You could also do Beauxbatons Academy Of Magic in France. That’s where Fleur Delacour went to school. I would be very interested to see how life compares at the other wizarding schools compared to Hogwarts.

  • Quidditch

How about a movie or show that focuses on Quidditch or a specific Quidditch team or player? Ron famously liked the Chudley Cannons and they were mentioned a lot. Ginny Weasley ended up playing for Holyhead Harpies after leaving Hogwarts, that could be another option. I think Quidditch was one of the things of the Harry Potter series that really grabbed people’s attention and they would love to see more on it.

  • Voldemort's Rise

Another thing that would likely interest the masses would be a show or movie on Voldemort’s initial rise to power. The book often talks about his rise and reign and it would be interesting to see more on how all of that came to be and what he did while in power. It could also feature James and Lily Potter or it could leave them out. There is so much there to pull from and so much creators could do with it. That would make for some great content, in my opinion.
