What Was The Hero’s Reward?
Was The Reward Equal to This Hero's Actions? The world is still full of heroic, good people. Whether you believe it or not, some people still do the right thing. There are even some who perform good deeds without expecting anything in return. For one man in California, he saved a family's home from burning down and didn't ask for anything. He was given a reward, do you think it's equal to his actions? According to Inside Edition, "A mystery hero captured on Ring camera is getting praise from the homeowners who say he saved their house from flames. It happened last month at the height of the Los Angeles fires but the video is only now being released. The hero alerted Candice and Vincent Brocato that flames were approaching their home in the Hollywood Hills. Thanks to his quick actions only a small second of the backyard deck burned." The homeowners were able to find the man. According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, "A Hollywood couple got a chance to reunite with the good Samaritan who saved their house, and their neighbors, from being burned down by the Los Angeles wildfires." The couple ended up giving the man a reward for his heroic actions. Based on the video, it looks like he was gifted a sweatshirt and a bottle of alcohol. We aren't so sure that the reward is enough for what the man did. First, does the sweatshirt fit him? Second, does he even drink alcohol. Third, they look like they live in pretty nice home and area, maybe a cash reward would be more fitting? At the end of the day, the man did an incredible thing. And, he was given something and probably expected nothing. But, we can still question the choice of reward and wonder if maybe he could have been offered a little bit more for his actions.
