Really? 37% Of Americans Don’t Wash These Body Parts In The Shower
You can file this under TMI (too much information) because the number might be surprising to people that never imagined it could be so high. What is it that only 37% of Americans say they don’t wash in the shower? Look down for the answer…your feet
If that many people admit online that they don’t wash their feet, you would have to believe that the real number could be higher because a lot of people wouldn’t admit it even if it was based on an anonymous web polling. So, maybe the real percentage is closer to 50%.
You would like to think that people who have “stinky feet” are much more likely to spend a little extra time on the lower extremities to avoid the dreaded smell. If you’re one of the lucky people who doesn’t have a problem with foot odor, perhaps you’re more lax when it comes to washing them.
Of course hygienists will definitely suggest that you wash your feet regardless if “stinky feet” is an issue. Your feet spend a lot of time covered in socks and shoes and that leads to sweating which leads to smelling.
One foot at a time!
Most people don’t feel their most limber . . . first thing in the morning. I get it. But it’s still important to actually CLEAN YOURSELF in the shower and not just stand there.
In a new poll, people were asked, “Do you wash your feet in the shower?”
60% of people said YES . . . they make a point to actually wash their feet.
37% said NO . . . they just let the water run over them.
A few others were torn. One said, “Not every time, but yes.”
If you’re one of the 37% that don’t wash their feet in the shower, try to get some body wash and a foot scrubber to help you get the job done. Your toes will be happy and maybe everyone else in the house will be too.
