Canadian Couple Finds 115 Stuffed Animals In Walls Of Home
A Canadian couple found 115 stuffed animals in their walls! Were the stuffed animals being used for insulation?
You never know what you might find when you start doing work on your house. The previous owners might have hid some stuff in the walls, maybe an old bootlegger, or something left behind by construction crews. The possibilities are endless! However, you’d never expect to find what this Canadian couple discovered behind their walls. They found 115 stuffed animals!
Couple Finds 115 Stuffed Animals In Walls Of Home
Homeowner Connor Nijsse was removing old drywall during his garage renovation when he made the wild discovery. Connor tells CTV, “You can’t wrap your head around it. This is weird.” The couple pulled back more walls and found even more stuffed animals! It’s unknown who did this or why they did this but they shared the video on TikTok where it now has more than 5 million views. Could they have been used for insulation? That might make a little sense? More sense than any other possibility I feel like. You can see the video showing their discovery shared on TikTok by @c.c.woodwork below!
That’s a lot of stuffed animals! Insulation seems to make sense seeing as the areas where they are seems to have very little or no insulation compared to areas next to it that do and don’t have any stuffed animals to be found.
The couple took to social media to see if anyone recognized any of the stuffed animals from their childhood and Angela McNellan recognized a fluffy yellow duck! She reached out to the couple and said she loved her Fluffy Ducky Buddy so much growing up but all of its stuffing game out and her mom had to throw it away. Now, she has a new one. Well, new is loosely used here.
Now, the couple is determined to find homes for the discarded orphan stuffed animals. According to CTV, they’ve sent stuffed animals to strangers from the US to the UK. That’s amazing! The power of the internet. Angela tells CTV, “Honestly it feels like the Canadian spirit to me. It’s spreading joy to so many families. It’s wonderful.” Who knows how long they were in there but they are all being freed now. Hopefully they can get some real insulation in there to help keep the area warm. Those stuffed animals might have been serving a purpose. Or it could all be a long con. Who knows?
